Departure

Something was wrong. Ldy could feel it in the air of Camelot. All day the feeling of impending danger crept over her until now, in the evening, she was quite on edge and distracted. As she sat with Tesh and his fellow Knights, she continually sent her senses out to test the air, the stone, everything, trying to pinpoint the danger. When it came, she was taken completely by surprise. With a flash of darkness, the Ulfaerz'un'arr appeared at the door of Camelot, leading a group of drow sargtlin and accompanied by the shebali Feraltears and Zantheles. Ldy gasped in surprise, and her feelings came sharply into focus. She had been found out! She had long feared that her Ilhar would find her, but to be confronted with the Holy Seeress of all Rilauven spelled disaster. Ldy was sure she was about to die. Steeling herself to her believed fate, she cast one wistfull glance to Tesh, sighed and raised her head. She would meet her fate with dignity, as befitting a Drow Yathrin. At Legora's request, Ldy approached her and submitted herself to the inevitable will of Lloth. But Lloth, ever the unpredictable Goddess, had not required her death, it appeared, at least not on the surface. Legora offered her a choice, to remain with Tesh or return to Rilauven. Ldy was perplexed, as Legora spoke of the future, and favor, and greatness. Ldy knew in her heart that her transgression of coming to Camelot in the first place was severe, but this did not sound as if Lloth was terribly displeased. She blinked in surprise and the memory of her trip to the Temple in Crossergate came to her. Xas, then she had felt Lloth favor, so perhaps she could dare to believe that things would work out. She was prepared to give her life for Lloth, as she had been prepared to do so all of her life, but of course, she much preferred to do Lloth's will as a living being. ;> The KORT knights, true to their silly rivvel ways, began arguing while Ldy was lost deep in thought. Sir Hakar seemed to be ready to offer her his "protection", Giantklr and Sir Dulain were just on edge at the possibility of violence that hung in the air, especially after SirAreleth made the mistake of expressing his opinion of Lloth. The only one that waited calmly was Sr Tesh, wise to the decision that faced Ldy, and already knowing in his heart what that decision would be. "Dos knows what usstan must do", Ldy said to him quietly, and he nodded sadly in response. Turning back to the Seeress, Ldy made the only choice she could. She would return to Rilauven, and accept whatever Lloth had in store for her. She wondered, as she followed the Seeress out of the gates of Camelot, what her Ilhar would say when she returned to Dur'Eben.
