Bruno to the Rescue!!Jacella came back to consciousness. She was in a dark, musty room, which smelled like monster dung - and worse. In the corner, facing away from her, a moldy old mage sat at his desk. He muttered to himself, "50 pearls, no 100 pearls - he will pay the price." Concentrating until she had an Exedrine headache, Jacella esped her closest relative, Silverelia. "Guess what happened to me." (Jacella tells Silverelia about the kidnapping in great and unneccessary detail.) "Post a message to Sir Bruno. Tell him help, help, help!" Next Jacella tested the bonds on her wrists and feet, and those which attached her firmly to an uncomfortable chair. "Not a Lazyboy, that's for sure," she muttered. Only one way out - she began to turn her wrists within their bonds, until they bled. Utilizing the slipperiness of the blood, she was able to slide her wrists free. The ancient, moldy, nearly-deaf (did I mention that?) mage continued to compose the ransom note at his desk. Jacella quickly untied her feet and the bonds holding her to the chair. Slipping off her shoon, she tiptoed up behind the mage. She grabbed his head, gave a deft twist, and snapped his neck like a rotten tootsie roll. She took the sputtering candle from the desk, and snuck out of the room. Or maybe she sneaked. Casting invisibilitity on herself, she silently sped through the corridors. Which way was out? Her pulse was racing, heart pounding. She was hopelessly lost, as usual. And then --- Sir Bruno!! She threw herself into his arms and passionately - - - close your eyes - and imagine. "Well, my dear - tis time for our picnic," he chuckled. In a twinkling he had spread out the picnic fare in the midst ot Triboar Under. Safely encamped, the two shared the chilled wine, Red Larch cheese, potato salad, fresh fruit from I forget where - and two lobsters. At first, Jacella started to fire up her outdoor grill - but "Nay, my love, that is not the way," Sir Bruno counseled. Two minds thought as one, and in a twinkling each picnicer had set a pot of water to boil. "One pot for each lobster," Bruno joked. After a fabulous picnic, Bruno turned to Jacella. He looked deeply into her eyes. Jacella trembled. "And now, my dear - - -( but that is another story).
