A True Page Am I

As Sir Dulain rests his body against the stable gates, the wind blows through his black hair removing some of the days chores on the ground below. His blue eyes gaze into a field outside of Camelot.. . . . . . . . The thundering of horses hoofs can be heard as Sir Dulain sits on his gallant steed "ShadowDreamer". Dulain thrust his mighty sword toward a foot soldier below. "Defend Camelot at all costs" he tells himself as he parries another blow. Shadowdreamer stumbles and Dulain is left afoot. The fresh blood of the evil attackers marks Dulain's armor. The sweat dripping from his forehead stings his eyes and blurs his vision. He must stand steadfast for he must "Defend Camelot at all costs". For every soldier he has slain, two or three more are there to replace them. His body grows steadily more weary 'til finally, with only the use of his sword hand, he continues on for he must "Defend Camelot at all costs". The blows are coming from all directions now, but as long as Dulain can raise his sword, he continues to fight. Alas he has fallen. As he lays upon the ground and he looks toward the sky.... to TYR. He reaches over and puts his hand inside his chest plate and squeezes the amulet of generations. It too has served it purpose. The soldiers encircle him blocking out the light. Everything is dark now ...very dark........................ "Dulain ?...Dulain ?" says LDY Bryne "Get up and go inside before you catch a death of cold". Dulain rises and dusts himself off. As he walks he looks back over his shoulder into the field......some day.....some day.

For now I can only dream of being a Knight.

Does it make me less a page if I do not pursue Knighthood as vigorously as others? Does it make me less a page for not participating in all the events that have been set forth? Have I not done all the tasks bestowed upon me?

Those that have adventured with me, would thee not stand beside me on the field of battle? For being a PAGE I am TRUE, But at my own pace I ask of you.
